Projects Associate – Mid‑level Solicitor (2‑4 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Projects Associate to join a leading international law firm in London. The role sits within a market‑leading Projects team that advises on complex infrastructure, construction and government contracting matters for public and private sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of projects, including infrastructure, PPP/PFI and long‑term government contracts.
• Draft and negotiate complex project and commercial contracts, using NEC, FIDIC and PPP/PFI forms.
• Support transactional, advisory and regulatory aspects of large‑scale projects across sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, social infrastructure and defence.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple international offices on cross‑border mandates.
• Contribute to business development initiatives to grow the Projects & Government Contracting practice.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified solicitor with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong experience in projects, government contracting, procurement and/or public law, gained in a leading law firm, in‑house legal team or government legal department.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex project documentation.

Required skills

• NEC contract drafting and negotiation.
• FIDIC contract drafting and negotiation.
• PPP/PFI contract drafting and negotiation.
