Property Health & Safety Business Partner

About the role

SGN is seeking a Property Health and Safety Business Partner to provide expert guidance and support across its property portfolio. You will ensure legal compliance, manage risk, and create safe working environments for depots, offices and logistic sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver health and safety support for property assets in line with UK legislation and internal policies.
• Review and, where necessary, challenge contractor risk assessments, method statements, competence evidence and permits to work.
• Provide technical safety input for maintenance, refurbishment and construction projects, supporting CDM client duties.
• Conduct property safety inspections, raise critical defects and drive timely corrective actions.
• Lead or support incident investigations and share learning to promote a Zero Harm culture.
• Promote awareness of environmental legislation and support SGN’s sustainability objectives.

Required profile

• NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing property and facilities safety compliance across multi‑site estates.
• Strong knowledge of UK property safety and environmental legislation.
• Confident communicator with effective stakeholder management skills.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and managing corrective actions.
