Property Inspector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Property Inspector to join a respected estate agency in Upminster. You will spend most of your time on the road, conducting inspections of rental properties and ensuring they meet high standards for landlords and tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mid‑term, check‑in and check‑out inspections of residential lettings.
• Produce detailed written and photographic reports using bespoke iPad software.
• Update landlords on property condition and inspection findings.
• Identify maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with Property Managers.
• Support tenants with property‑related queries and provide professional advice.
• Assist with deposit negotiations and prepare documentation for disputes.
• Maintain accurate property records and meet reporting deadlines.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the wider Property Management team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential lettings or property management.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Proactive, able to manage a busy schedule independently.
• Confident when dealing face‑to‑face with landlords and tenants.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
