Property Litigation Lawyer – Hertfordshire

About the role

We are seeking a Property Litigation Lawyer to join our high‑performing property litigation team in Hertford. The successful candidate will handle complex residential and commercial property disputes, providing strategic advice and managing cases from inception to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a varied caseload of property disputes, including freehold and leasehold matters.
• Handle lease renewals, terminations, breaches, non‑payment of rent, forfeiture, dilapidations and easements.
• Advise on trespassing, nuisance, title, service charge, co‑ownership and Land Registry applications.
• Ensure compliance with court and tribunal deadlines and maintain high‑quality case management.
• Assess claims, analyse defences and counter‑claims, and provide clear client advice.
• Deliver training sessions and support the development of junior staff.
• Maintain regular client communication and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with substantial experience in real‑estate and property litigation.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and junior‑staff mentorship.
