Property Litigation Solicitor (1-6 Years PQE)

About the role

AJ Chambers is expanding its specialist property litigation practice and is looking for a Property Litigation Solicitor with 1‑6 years post‑qualification experience. You will join a fast‑growing team in Hertford, working on a diverse portfolio of landlord‑and‑tenant matters across residential and commercial properties.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload of defended service charge, ground rent and possession matters.
• Provide expert advice on breach of covenant, landlord‑and‑tenant and related property law issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to court and tribunal deadlines with high‑quality case management.
• Assess claims, evaluate strengths and weaknesses of defences and counter‑claims, and advise clients accordingly.
• Mentor and supervise junior team members, delivering training sessions and supporting their professional development.
• Maintain regular client communication and transparent reporting throughout case progression.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE in property litigation.
• Proven ability to handle complex landlord‑and‑tenant disputes independently.
• Experience supervising junior staff and delivering training.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to deadlines.
