Property Litigation Solicitor – Associate Level

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a forward‑thinking regional law firm that specialises in property litigation. The role is based in Southampton and offers hybrid working, giving you flexibility while handling high‑quality, contentious property matters for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of disputes involving development land, property contracts, landlord‑tenant issues, dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture and lease covenant breaches.
• Provide proactive, high‑quality legal advice to private individuals, corporates, retailers, landowners, developers and investors.
• Engage directly with clients from an early stage to understand commercial objectives and build trusted relationships.
• Support business development activities, nurture existing client relationships and contribute to the team’s market profile.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues on complex or high‑value disputes, receiving supervision and structured development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience advising on a broad range of contentious property matters.
• Comfortable handling disputes involving development land, property contracts and core landlord‑tenant issues.
• Proactive, able to work independently while seeking guidance on complex matters.
• Strong client‑facing skills and a commitment to delivering consistent, high‑quality service.
