Property Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Property Manager to join our residential property management team in Colchester. You will act as the primary liaison between landlords and tenants, handling maintenance issues and ensuring the smooth operation of a diverse property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve maintenance issues, reporting progress to both landlords and tenants.
• Coordinate contractor schedules and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Obtain and evaluate maintenance quotes, authorise invoices and utility bills.
• Handle all landlord and tenant correspondence, including check‑out reports and deposit negotiations.
• Address initial complaints promptly and refer sales leads where appropriate.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to diagnose basic repairs.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and clear communication skills.
• Professional approach to customer service and ability to diffuse difficult situations.
• Effective time‑management and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams.

What we offer

• Basic salary up to £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday 08:30‑18:00 and one Saturday in four (08:30‑16:00) with a day off in lieu.
