Property Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established property business in Whitley Bay to hire an organised, customer‑focused Property Manager. You will join a busy office‑based team, managing a portfolio of residential properties and delivering high‑quality service to landlords, tenants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential properties on behalf of landlords.
• Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, landlords and contractors.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair works from initial report to completion, including arranging contractor visits and obtaining quotations.
• Conduct regular property inspections and produce detailed reports.
• Handle tenancy renewals, compliance checks and maintenance schedules.
• Resolve tenant queries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all properties comply with current legislation and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, property files and internal systems.
• Liaise with contractors to guarantee works are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Support the wider property management team with administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in property management, lettings, estate agency, administration or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational ability with capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Professional telephone manner and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
