Property & Utilities Administrator (Temp-to-Perm)

About the role
This temporary‑to‑permanent position supports a national social housing provider in Nottingham. You will act as the central "data funnel" for all utility and billing queries, investigating legacy records and challenging suppliers to correct errors and secure refunds.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for gas, electricity, water, TV licence and council tax queries across the housing portfolio.
- Search physical and digital archives to locate missing tenancy agreements, contracts and meter data.
- Contact utility suppliers and local councils, dispute incorrect charges and update account details.
- Set up and close utility accounts for vacant and newly occupied properties, manage pre‑payment card top‑ups and process payments.
- Maintain master Excel databases with 100% data accuracy.
Required profile
- Tenacity and grit – comfortable making phone calls and standing your ground with external suppliers.
- Highly organised and resilient with strong attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in the social housing sector and its values.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data management and reporting.
What we offer
- Salary between £26,807 and £28,850 per annum, dependent on experience.
- 37.5‑hour week with flexible core hours (10:00‑15:00) and hybrid work‑mode (office‑based with one remote day).
