Psychology Graduate – Behaviour & Learning Support (Full‑Time, Term‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking recent Psychology graduates to work within secondary schools in Liverpool, providing behaviour and learning support on a term‑time basis. The role offers hands‑on experience supporting pupils with social, emotional, behavioural or additional learning needs, and works closely with teachers and SEN teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 or in small groups to develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Assist with tailored interventions for students with SEND, SEMH, or communication needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils to improve engagement and wellbeing.
• Observe and report on behavioural patterns to help inform support strategies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Required profile

• A degree in Psychology (or a closely related field).
• Passion for working with children and young people.
• Strong communication, empathy, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Patient, proactive, and resilient approach.
• Genuine interest in SEND, mental health, or behaviour support.
• Valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
