Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a recent Psychology graduate to join an outstanding secondary school in Islington as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This full‑time, term‑time position offers hands‑on experience supporting children with diverse learning and behavioural needs while working alongside experienced SENCOs and teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist children with a range of learning and behavioural needs on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis.
• Collaborate closely with SENCOs, classroom teachers, and external professionals to deliver tailored support.
• Help implement individual education plans and monitor progress.
• Support classroom activities and promote inclusive learning environments.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Psychology.
• Passionate about child development and inclusive education.
• Willingness to learn and receive on‑the‑job training in the SEN sector.
• Ability to commit to a full‑time role in Islington for the academic year.
