Publicist – Global Content Communications

About the role

BBC Studios is seeking a Publicist to join its Global Content Communications team within Productions. You will design and deliver high‑impact publicity campaigns for a diverse portfolio of TV, audio and digital content, working across genres such as drama, factual, comedy and kids & family.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute ambitious communications strategies and publicity campaigns for internationally recognised shows.
• Generate innovative ideas to increase favourable media coverage and raise programme profiles.
• Anticipate, manage and respond to issues that could negatively impact the brand.
• Write clear, concise media information for programmes and related interactive content.
• Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including media outlets, newspapers, magazines, websites, TV and radio.
• Collect and analyse evidence to evaluate the impact of communications activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in television publicity with strong industry contacts.
• Confident stakeholder management and sound crisis‑communications judgement.
• Creative mindset with the ability to produce compelling media materials.
• Ability to work across multiple genres and adapt to fast‑moving environments.
