Pump Engineer – Maintenance & Installation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pump Engineer to carry out electrical and mechanical duties on pump systems across Bedfordshire, Slough, Reading, London and surrounding areas. You will ensure equipment operates to specification, performing on‑site repairs, maintenance and installations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, commission and install pump systems and associated equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks and routine inspections to identify potential issues.
• Carry out equipment upgrades, fault finding and provide timely solutions.
• Participate in an emergency call‑out rota and respond to urgent breakdowns.
• Work with sewage and effluent systems and operate in confined spaces when required.
• Communicate with internal teams, providing reports and photographic evidence of work.
• Document all activities, including service reports, repair logs and customer communications.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Pump Engineer.
• Full driving licence.
• Own standard tools (specialist equipment supplied by the employer).
• Excellent customer service skills.
