Pump Engineer – Wastewater Pump Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pump Engineer to join a long‑established organisation in the pump industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for on‑site repairs, maintenance, commissioning and fault finding on centrifugal wastewater pump systems across the London area.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair wastewater pump systems.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on pump installations.
• Commission new pumps and pumping stations.
• Attend breakdowns and emergency call‑outs as required.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment reliability.
• Complete service reports and related documentation accurately.
• Work safely in line with company procedures and industry regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on‑site.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience as a Pump Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with wastewater pump systems and centrifugal pumps.
• Electrical qualifications or apprenticeship with an electrical bias are highly desirable.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and a solid standard of English.
