Purchase Ledger Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team in Kings Langley. The role is initially a two‑month fixed‑term assignment with the possibility of extension, offering an immediate start for a detail‑oriented professional.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update supplier account information.
• Process a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and account queries.
• Prepare payment runs for approval and post cash receipts and payments.
• Reconcile supplier accounts to ensure records are up to date.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Available to start at short notice.
