Purchase Ledger Clerk + AAT Study

About the role

This full‑time position is ideal for someone with some finance experience who wants structured learning and support. You will work side‑by‑side with an experienced Finance Director who will mentor you, fund your AAT qualification and help you build a solid foundation for a long‑term finance career.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and maintain the purchase ledger accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports and support ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team.

Required profile

• Some prior experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Motivation to study for the AAT qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in an office‑based team setting.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of purchase ledger processes.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
