Purchasing and Returns Administrator

About the role

Barco Sales is looking for a confident and highly organised Purchasing and Returns Administrator to keep its purchasing and returns processes running smoothly. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full returns cycle from initial customer contact to final resolution.
• Communicate with customers about faulty or damaged items and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to achieve fair outcomes for returns and claims.
• Inspect returned goods, maintain accurate records and raise carrier claims for damaged or missing items.
• Support the purchasing team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
• Chase suppliers for delivery dates, update internal teams and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Collaborate with goods‑in, accounts and management to ensure records are up‑to‑date.

• Confident, detail‑oriented and enjoys taking ownership of tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Team‑player who can work effectively within a small, close‑knit department.

• Salary £26,500 – £28,000 per year, dependent on experience.
