About the role

Join Leyland Trucks as a Purchasing Commodity Manager and lead sourcing, negotiation and supplier management for a key commodity area. You will shape commodity strategy, influence cross‑functional teams and drive cost, quality and supply performance across the UK, Europe and South America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, negotiation and supplier management activities within the assigned commodity.
• Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support project delivery by providing procurement expertise and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing, category, or commodity management within a global manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple regions.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive measurable business impact.
