Purchasing Coordinator – £30k-£35k (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join one of the UK’s largest car dealer groups. The role provides reactive and operational purchasing support across the Group, ensuring requisitions are accurate, cost‑effective and compliant. You will work in a hybrid model, spending 2‑3 days per week in our Milton Keynes office.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate purchase requisitions for completeness, accuracy and policy compliance.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on purchasing processes and best practices.
• Liaise with suppliers to support efficient order placement and fulfilment.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend alternative solutions.
• Support the development and maintenance of procurement tools, catalogues and systems.
• Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers, performing due‑diligence and compliance checks.
• Maintain supplier records and assist in governance to mitigate financial and reputational risks.
• Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of Source‑to‑Pay systems.
• Provide general administrative support to the procurement team, including rebate tracking and third‑party management.

Required profile

• Previous purchasing or procurement experience is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Good communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ability to analyse spend data and identify improvement opportunities.

• Salary £30,000‑£35,000 per annum plus potential bonus up to 10%.
• Hybrid working – 2‑3 days in the office, flexible start times.
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension scheme and other benefits.
• Full‑time permanent contract, 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday.
