Purchasing & Inventory Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Analyst to join a growing business near Romsey. In this position you will manage purchasing activities, plan inventory levels and produce demand forecasts to ensure product availability while keeping stock efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day purchasing and inventory planning.
• Produce demand forecasts and analyse purchasing requirements.
• Maintain optimum stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
• Analyse inventory performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance and support purchasing decisions.
• Generate reports and KPI analysis using advanced Excel.
• Identify and implement process improvements for purchasing and inventory.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory or supply‑chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, demand forecasting and inventory planning.
• Advanced analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or inventory‑management systems.
