Python Developer – Problem Solver (Cambridge)

About the role

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our R&D team and help build a new green‑field product that defends against AI‑based security attacks. You will work on a mix of rapid prototyping and structured development of existing platforms, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services primarily in Python.
• Prototype new ideas quickly and evolve them into production‑ready features.
• Collaborate with the team on a green‑field product targeting AI‑driven cyber threats.
• Use and integrate emerging technologies such as Rust, TypeScript or C++ where appropriate.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) to deploy and scale solutions.
• Attend the Cambridge office twice a week for team sessions, free lunches and problem‑solving workshops.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Python backend development.
• Advanced problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work with Rust, TypeScript or C++.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Good understanding of software‑engineering best practices.
• Degree in a STEM discipline.
