QA & Authorisation Handler – Technical Claims Support

About the role

We are looking for a confident, analytical and detail‑focused QA & Authorisation Handler to join our Technical Claims Support Team. In this role you will act as the final line of defence before a claim settlement is approved, ensuring that every decision is accurate, fair and compliant with policy terms.

Key responsibilities

• Review claim settlements at the authorisation stage across all ClaimSorted products.
• Independently assess policy coverage, supporting evidence and settlement calculations, and decide to authorise, pass back or escalate.
• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews to verify that claims are handled accurately and fairly.
• Identify potential financial leakage, recurring handling issues, and process or control gaps.
• Analyse data to pinpoint root causes of issues and translate findings into practical process improvements, guidance and training.
• Support other technical claims activities as required by the wider team.

Required profile

• Strong technical judgement and confidence in making decisions.
• Ability to challenge claim assessments and clearly explain reasoning.
• Comfortable using data to understand issues and drive improvements.
• Adaptable to different insurance products, policy wordings and priorities.
• Detail‑oriented and analytical mindset.
