QC Team Leader

About the role

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a growing medical device manufacturer who are looking for a QC Supervisor / Team Leader to join their Leeds site. This hands‑on role leads a small Quality Control and Receiving Inspection team, ensuring incoming materials and finished products meet quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians; allocate workloads and provide day‑to‑day technical guidance.
• Act as the escalation point for inspection issues and non‑conformances.
• Carry out and oversee product testing, inspection and final release.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Support supplier and incoming inspection activities.
• Identify training needs and develop the team.
• Help drive improvements across quality and inspection processes.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and other teams.

Required profile

• Previous Quality Inspection/Receiving Inspection experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience within medical devices, particularly Class II/III products (ideal).
• At least 3 years' team leader/supervisory experience.
• HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Good knowledge of ISO 13485, EU MDR and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
• Strong people skills and confidence to make technical decisions.
• Hands‑on approach and ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
