About the role
We are looking for a Qualification and Assessment Developer to join AAT’s Products and Services team on a two‑year fixed‑term basis. Working from our Canary Wharf office on a hybrid schedule, you will collaborate with subject‑matter experts and regulators to design and produce high‑quality qualifications and assessment materials that support learners, employers and training providers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end development of qualification units and associated assessments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Partner with internal teams and external SMEs to create content that meets product specifications and industry standards.
- Edit and proof assessment items for clarity, consistency and compliance with house style.
- Support SME training and ensure adherence to assessment design principles and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accreditation documentation and respond to feedback from regulators and stakeholders.
- Contribute to quality‑assurance processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in qualification or assessment development.
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working with external contributors such as SMEs and suppliers.
- Collaborative, customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to quality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of assessment methodologies and relevant regulatory frameworks (desirable).
