Qualified Accountant – Client Facing Role

About the role

Our client, an independent accountancy practice located on the northern outskirts of Maidenhead, is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their friendly team. The role offers the chance to manage a diverse client portfolio and develop your career within a growing, dynamic firm.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for a mixed portfolio of SME, limited company, sole trader and larger business clients.
• Prepare statutory accounts and produce management accounts, including complex VAT returns.
• Provide corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory support.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Manage client relationships, including on‑site visits when required.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Current experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, income tax and VAT.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with practice‑management/accountancy software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
