Qualified Accountant – Private Equity (London, Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) to join a respected private‑equity investment firm in London. This hybrid position offers exposure to financial reporting, fund structures, and portfolio company activities, ideal for an ambitious professional transitioning from practice to industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Assist with statutory financial statements and external audits.
• Support financial reporting for investment funds and holding companies.
• Produce balance‑sheet reconciliations and analyse performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
• Support fund and investment accounting across multiple entities.
• Liaise with external administrators, auditors, tax advisers and banks.
• Help with capital calls, distributions and investor reporting.
• Identify improvements to financial controls and reporting processes.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc commercial projects for senior management.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (recently qualified or a few years post‑qualified).
• Strong academic background and training in a recognised accountancy practice or relevant industry.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn.
