Qualified Audit Senior – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join our dynamic audit team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified and will bring a commercially‑minded, organised approach to delivering high‑quality audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver complete audit files, including audit planning, risk assessment and materiality evaluation.
• Design and implement testing work programmes and conduct fieldwork with professional scepticism.
• Document audit findings, unadjusted misstatements and management letter points, and discuss them with clients.
• Summarise key findings for partner review and ensure timely completion of audit files.
• Review junior team members' work, provide guidance and support their development.
• Maintain regular communication with managers, manage budgets and act as the main client contact on audit matters.
• Liaise with internal teams such as corporate tax to provide a seamless client service.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Proven audit experience covering planning through to completion.
• Strong communication skills and client‑focused attitude.
• Commercial awareness and solid technical knowledge of audit standards.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments under pressure.
• Proactive, collaborative team player; a driving licence and vehicle access are desirable but not essential.

• CCH Accounts (preferred).
• Audit Automation tools (preferred).
