Qualified Conveyancer (Fee Earner) – Residential

About the role

We are seeking a qualified or fee‑earner conveyancer to join a well‑established residential conveyancing practice in Colchester. The successful candidate will handle a full range of property transactions, from initial instruction through to post‑completion, within a supportive and growth‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage freehold and leasehold conveyancing matters, including new builds and shared ownership.
• Process re‑mortgages, transfers of equity and Help to Buy transactions.
• Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and other statutory documentation.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progress.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet agreed service standards.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, trainee solicitor, or experienced conveyancer (qualified by experience accepted).
• Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing practice in England.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
