Qualified Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced electrician to join an established contractor delivering housing and public‑sector projects across the South East. The role involves installing, testing and commissioning electrical systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission wiring, circuits and electrical systems in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Carry out first‑fix and second‑fix electrical installations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and remedial electrical work.
• Ensure compliance with site RAMS, HSE requirements and building regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, testing and certification.
• Keep tools, equipment and company vehicle in safe working condition.

Required profile

• Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations (or City & Guilds 2365‑02/2357 pathway).
• BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification and a valid JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Proven experience in commercial, industrial, housing or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow strict health‑and‑safety procedures.
