About the role
We are seeking a qualified English teacher to join secondary schools across Liverpool for the September start. The role covers Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both English Language and English Literature to help pupils achieve their GCSE targets.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE English Language and Literature lessons.
- Support and monitor pupil progress across KS3 and KS4, aiming to raise attainment.
- Maintain effective classroom management, assessment practices and pupil tracking.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); early‑career teachers are welcome.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
