Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant three‑form entry primary school in Stanmore. The role starts in September 2026 (or as soon as possible) and offers the chance to support high‑quality education in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 when the class teacher is absent.
• Provide targeted interventions to help pupils make excellent progress.
• Work with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for all pupils.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs using an inclusive approach.
• Contribute to school life by participating in events and enrichment activities.

Required profile

• Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school.
• Confident leading whole‑class learning across different year groups.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.
• High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
• Effective team player.
