Qualified Lead Electrician – Solar (Hampshire)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Lead Electrician with a focus on solar installations to join our client’s team in Portsmouth. This permanent, full‑time position offers a competitive salary and the chance to work on a variety of domestic and commercial projects across Hampshire and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out solar‑focused installations, upgrades and rewires for domestic and commercial sites.
• Install and replace ventilation systems within residential properties.
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of work delivered on‑site.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the administration team.
• Ensure compliance with professional guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and provide support and training to junior team members.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Drive and enthusiasm to seize opportunities.
• Positive attitude and self‑motivation.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• C&G 2382 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience).
