Qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our early years team in Lancing. You will help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where young children can learn through play and exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress and share insights with parents and carers.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with families to enhance children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive setting that respects cultural and medical needs.
• Raise any safeguarding concerns to the Nursery Manager while maintaining confidentiality.
• Follow all nursery policies, statutory regulations and health‑safety standards.
• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities that promote holistic development.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Passion for supporting children’s development and learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards.
• Ability to assess and record child progress.
• Safeguarding awareness and confidentiality handling.
