Qualified Management Accountant – Finance Role

About the role

As a Qualified Management Accountant at Schindler UK & Ireland, you will prepare monthly management accounts, support month‑end reporting and contribute to financial decision‑making for the Addlestone site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting.
• Manage accruals, pre‑payments, journals and balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Analyse monthly overhead performance and provide insightful commentary to support decision‑making.
• Manage intercompany recharges, reconciliations and reporting across the wider Group.
• Support quarterly, half‑year and year‑end reporting requirements, including IFRS16 lease accounting.
• Oversee key accounts payable activities, ensuring invoices, supplier accounts and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Assist internal and external audits while maintaining strong controls and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders and provide support for treasury and financial accounting activities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a finance or management accounting role.
• Proven experience in a fast‑paced finance environment.
• Strong understanding of month‑end processes, reconciliations, journals and accruals.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a collaborative team.
• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Previous experience supporting, coaching or mentoring junior team members is beneficial.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SAP (experience highly regarded).
• Knowledge of IFRS16 lease accounting.
