Qualified Nursery Practitioner

About the role

Childbase Partnership is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above) to join River View Day Nursery in Hertford. The position is permanent, offering 18‑40 hours per week with flexible full‑time or part‑time patterns across 2‑5 days.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person, planning and delivering high‑quality, play‑based learning activities aligned with the EYFS.
• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress, ensuring developmental milestones are met.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• DfE‑approved early years qualification at Level 2 or higher.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding.
• Team‑oriented attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
