Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2) to join our vibrant early years team in London. You will deliver high‑quality care and education, creating a safe and stimulating environment that supports each child’s development and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Supervise daily routines including play, meals, rest and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment at all times.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues through clear communication.
• Monitor and record children’s progress, behaviour and developmental milestones.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring compliance with nursery policies.
• Collaborate to develop personalised care plans for individual children.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are consistently met.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as planning documentation and parent communication.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education (Level 2 NVQ or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Strong management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Passion for supporting children’s development.
• Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively while showing initiative.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
