Qualified Practice Accountant – Hybrid Working

About the role

An established and growing independent accountancy practice is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its supportive and professional team. This role offers a long‑term opportunity to own client relationships, contribute to business growth, and enjoy flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Preparing personal, partnership, and corporation tax returns.
• Reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping records.
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting solutions, particularly Xero.
• Providing proactive advice and identifying opportunities to add value for clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years recent UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Proven ability to manage your own client portfolio.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
