Qualified Practice Accountant – £50‑75k

About the role

We are seeking a qualified practice accountant to join our growing team in Beckenham. This permanent, full‑time position offers a salary of £50‑75k and the chance to develop across audit, accounts and tax work for owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments for SME clients.
• Execute assignments under the direction of managers or partners.
• Supervise and review the work of junior staff.
• Prepare and submit working schedules to partners in a timely manner.
• Maintain effective client communication throughout engagements.

Required profile

• ACCA or ICAEW qualified with 3‑10 years’ in‑practice experience.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and statutory audit.
• Experience of statutory tax, management accounting and VAT reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Interest in owner‑managed businesses and a positive, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Statutory accounts preparation under UK GAAP/FRS 102 (and knowledge of IFRS).
• Use of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Experience with practice software like IRIS (optional).
• Budget preparation and monitoring.
