Qualified SEN Tutor – 1:1 Tuition (Part‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified SEN Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition to children and young people with SEND across Buckinghamshire. You will support pupils who are out of education, awaiting specialist placements, or needing additional help, many of whom have EHCPs covering ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or anxiety‑related school avoidance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one tuition in primary and secondary English, Maths, Science and functional skills.
• Design and implement SEN‑focused interventions tailored to individual EHCP targets.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to close learning gaps.
• Travel to learner locations across Buckinghamshire and maintain safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent).
• Experience working with SEND pupils and delivering 1:1 tuition.
• Knowledge of EHCP targets and differentiated learning approaches.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two recent child‑related references and ability to travel within Buckinghamshire.
