About the role
We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Community Team within Blackpool Council. The role focuses on supporting adults to identify their needs, maximise independence and prevent future care requirements using strength‑based approaches.
Key responsibilities
- Assess adult clients' support requirements and develop personalised plans.
- Work with community and voluntary groups, re‑ablement services and commissioned providers.
- Apply all relevant legislative frameworks governing Adult Social Care.
- Make autonomous decisions, solve problems and negotiate outcomes.
- Maintain clear communication with service users, families and partner agencies.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult community settings.
- Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and practice.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Commitment to professional development and CPD.
