Qualified Social Worker – Adult Learning Disability (Blackpool)

About the role

Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Adult Learning Disability Team within Blackpool Council. The role focuses on handling safeguarding enquiries and supporting the team with related tasks in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete safeguarding enquiries arising from new concerns and ongoing cases.
• Assist with screening referrals and gathering information to determine the need for safeguarding action.
• Help alleviate pressure on operational teams by managing longer‑standing enquiries.
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult learning disability settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage safeguarding enquiries.
• Willingness to work three days on‑site and two days remotely.
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service.
