About the role
Our client Kent City Council is seeking a qualified social worker to join its Children & Families team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, conducting assessments, planning interventions and safeguarding children and families in line with the Social Care Capability Framework.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a Children & Families caseload, including complex and diverse cases.
- Conduct assessments, reviews, prepare welfare reports and attend court as required.
- Develop partnerships with statutory, voluntary and private agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely records using agreed systems.
- Apply up‑to‑date legislation, policies and procedures related to Looked After Children, Children in Need and Child Protection.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker (CSWT) with eligibility to work in the UK.
- Commitment to complete the ASYE standard within two years of qualification.
- Ability to work within the Social Care Capability Framework.
- Willingness to register with Remedy for locum positions and undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure.
