About the role
This temporary, full‑time position supports individuals with learning disabilities by delivering high‑quality social work practice in line with professional standards. You will work within a multidisciplinary team in Swindon, applying your expertise to complex cases.
Key responsibilities
- Uphold HCPC standards and the BASW Professional Capabilities Framework for Social Workers.
- Make high‑quality judgments in situations of increasing complexity, risk and uncertainty.
- Anticipate emerging issues without pre‑judging outcomes, using initiative to broaden response options.
- Provide specialist knowledge in one or more practice areas and act as a reliable resource for peers.
- Maintain familiarity with local resource networks and refer clients appropriately.
Required profile
- Qualified social worker registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while accessing support when needed.
- Confidence and initiative to handle complex cases and provide expert advice.
- Recognition by colleagues as a source of reliable knowledge.
