About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Learning Disability and Early Adulthood Team at Stockport Council. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days in the office, and offers a pay rate of £30 per hour on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Review complex care packages and assess joint funding arrangements.
  • Work across Early Adulthood, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Autism and Children’s Health Care (CHC) sectors.
  • Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to ensure coordinated support for service users.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to team development.

Required profile

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
  • Proven experience reviewing complex packages and joint funding.
  • Knowledge of Early Adulthood, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Autism and CHC contexts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model.
