Qualified Social Worker – MASH Team (Oldham)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team supporting Oldham Council. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week based in the office, and offers a competitive rate of £30 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑door safeguarding assessments for adults within the MASH service.
• Collaborate with police, health, and housing partners to coordinate multi‑agency responses.
• Make timely decisions on referrals, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance.
• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration.
• Proven experience in an adult front‑door service such as Adult MASH or a Duty Team.
• Relevant qualifications in line with the Joint Departmental Safeguarding (JDPS) framework.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation and best practice.
• Experience using case management systems for recording and reporting.
