Qualified Social Worker – Permanence Team

About the role

Our client, Leicestershire County Council, is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the Permanence team. You will work collaboratively with children, young people and families to promote safety, stability and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Work within Leicestershire's practice framework and standards.
• Partner with families, enabling them to care for their children using a "working with" approach.
• Collaborate with children’s services, health agencies and community partners to deliver effective care.
• Provide thorough assessments, develop and monitor family plans, and ensure sustainable change.
• Maintain accurate records and involve children and families in decision‑making.
• Contribute to quality assurance, audits and practice improvement activities.
• Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registration.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Ability to use professional judgement, self‑reflection and supervision.
• Commitment to delivering outcomes that improve children’s day‑to‑day lives.
