Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Tutor – 1:1 Tuition

About the role
We are looking for QTS‑qualified teachers to deliver one‑to‑one tuition to children and young people across the Bournemouth (BCP) area. The role supports learners with additional needs such as autism, SEMH, ADHD, anxiety and school avoidance, helping them rebuild confidence and routine.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s EHCP outcomes.
- Provide tutoring in the student’s home or another agreed setting, typically up to 15 hours per week per student.
- Maintain regular progress updates and session feedback for parents and local authorities.
- Support the development of structure, routine and positive attitudes towards education.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum six months’ classroom teaching experience.
- Experience working with SEND, EHCP or disengaged learners.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK.
Required skills
- Understanding of autism spectrum disorder, SEMH, ADHD and anxiety.
- Ability to adapt sessions to individual needs.
What we offer
- Flexible part‑time contract (up to 15 hours per week per student).
- Hourly rate of £25‑£30.
