Qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Primary School

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming four‑form entry primary school in Wandsworth, South West London. The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs through targeted interventions, 1:1 and small‑group work, and classroom assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery and behaviour management.
• Implement targeted interventions to help pupils make academic, social and emotional progress.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and update learning plans.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent childcare/education qualification).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and SEMH.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.

What we offer

• Full‑time temporary contract starting September 2026.
• Daily rate of £105‑£120, dependent on experience and qualifications.
• Working hours 8:30 am‑3:45 pm, Monday‑Friday (term time only).
