Quality Assurance Engineer (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a market‑leading defence and aerospace manufacturer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure products meet stringent AS9100 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate control plans from engineering drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Manage the non‑conformance process from containment through quarantine to root‑cause corrective action (RCCA).
• Participate in design and drawing reviews.
• Support first‑article inspection (AS9102) activities.

Required profile

• Experience in an AS9100‑regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Qualification in engineering, manufacturing or quality (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
