Quality Assurance & Enhancement Officer

About the role

Our client is seeking a temporary Quality Assurance & Enhancement Officer to support a busy QA team during the summer peak. The role is ideal for candidates with experience in quality, compliance or regulatory environments, particularly within higher education, who can quickly adapt to a short‑term, process‑driven position.

Key responsibilities

• Process quality assurance applications and requests in line with established policies.
• Assist with centre approvals, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and compliant.
• Support investigations into centre quality issues, gathering and reviewing evidence.
• Contribute to centre risk rating and monitoring activities.
• Process grade appeals according to defined procedures.
• Review, analyse and summarise data from multiple sources.
• Prepare clear written reports and summaries for managers.
• Respond to internal and external queries related to quality assurance and compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the awarding body.

Required profile

• Experience in a quality assurance, compliance, regulatory or governance‑focused role.
• Background in a regulated environment such as higher education or professional bodies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to review documentation for accuracy.
• Experience supporting investigations, appeals or issue‑resolution work.
• Strong written communication skills with a track record of producing clear reports.
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise workload during busy periods.
